The accolades continue to roll in for Iowa State as the Cyclones put three players on the Associated Press preseason All-America team, tying legendary powerhouse Notre Dame for most in the country.

Spencer Rattler of Oklahoma is AP’s first-team quarterback.

Running back Breece Hall leads the pack for Iowa State, which last week garnered its highest preseason ranking (No. 7) in school history. Linebacker Mike Rose and tight end Charlie Kolar join Hall on the first team.

Notre Dame defensive back Kyle Hamilton headlines the Fighting Irish contingent. He’s joined by transfer guard Cain Madden and all-purpose player Kyren Williams.

Six other teams put two players on the list, including preseason No. 1 Alabama. Linebacker Will Anderson Jr. and offensive tackle Evan Neal headline the Crimson Tide.

Rattler is joined by Oklahoma linebacker Nik Bonitto.

Clemson, Ohio State, LSU and Texas A&M are the other schools with two players on the first team.

Hall and Northwestern safety Brandon Joseph are the only two players on the first team who are coming off All-America campaigns.
