Former Oklahoma running back Trey Sermon is joining Ohio State as a graduate transfer.

He posted an image of himself wearing a Buckeyes uniform on his Twitter feed Sunday.

Sermon has one year of eligibility remaining and can play immediately at Ohio State. Replacing departed starter J.K. Dobbins, he gives the Buckeyes an explosive backfield alongside quarterback Justin Fields.

Sermon rushed for 2,076 yards and 22 touchdowns and caught 36 passes for 391 yards and three scores in 37 games with the Sooners from 2017-19.

He was a four-star prospect in the 2017 recruiting class, ranked No. 9 nationally among running backs and No. 8 overall in the state of Georgia by ESPN.
