Orlando’s Camping World Stadium wants to host the Army-Navy football game.

The annual December rivalry game has been held in Philadelphia almost exclusively since 1945, with four appearances in Baltimore since 2000.

The 2020 game is set for Philadelphia’s Lincoln Financial Field. The 2021 contest is slated for MetLife Stadium, marking the fifth time it will be held in East Rutherford, N.J. It has been played 11 times in New York City.

The Florida Citrus Sports group, which controls Camping World Stadium, told the Orlando Sentinel last week that it would love to host the game.

“When you think of events, I love that Orlando can have the opportunity to be a part of something that’s special,” Florida Citrus Sports CEO Steve Hogan told the newspaper. “The Army-Navy game would be an experience for people in Central Florida and the people who have traditionally attended the game in Philadelphia or Baltimore.”

The Army-Navy game also was held at FedEx Field in Landover, Md., in 2011; at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, Calif., in 1983; and at Soldier Field in Chicago in 1926.
