Florida State will play an unexpected home game on Saturday, with incoming Hurricane Dorian forcing the season opener against Boise State to relocate.

The game had been scheduled to be played at TIAA Bank Field in Jacksonville on a neutral site. Reports indicated the game will move to Doak Campbell Stadium in Tallahassee with a noon start time.

The most recent forecast on Thursday morning said Dorian is expected to intensify into a Category 4 hurricane and potentially make landfall Sunday along the east coast of Florida, or perhaps Georgia or North Carolina, depending on the track.

Gov. Ron DeSantis has declared a state of emergency for most counties on Florida’s east coast, including Duval, where Jacksonville is located.

During training camp, the Seminoles were forced to make adjustments on several occasions because of weather.

“I think our guys are prepared for sudden change, we’ve had it throughout training camp,” coach Willie Taggart said.
