Southern California senior quarterback Mo Hasan said Monday that he sustained a major knee injury during Saturday’s spring game.

Hasan said he will undergo surgery to repair the knee.

“Bringing this same energy going into rehab,” Hasan said on Twitter. “I’ll be undergoing surgery for a torn ACL suffered during the spring game. Please don’t feel sorry, I’m going to crush this process and be back stronger! Appreciate the love everybody.”

Hasan didn’t see any action in 2020 behind star quarterback Kedon Slovis. He was competing for the backup job in spring drills.

He was 2 of 2 for 74 yards, including a 25-yard touchdown pass to Bru McCoy, in the spring game before departing with the injury.

Hasan transferred to USC following the 2019 season after spending two seasons at Vanderbilt. He completed 11 of 17 passes for 158 yards and one touchdown and rushed for 79 yards on 16 carries in six games for the Commodores.
