TCU quarterback Trevone Boykin is questionable with an ankle injury for Saturday’s game against Oklahoma, according to Horned Frogs coach Gary Patterson.
The Heisman Trophy candidate suffered the injury during last Saturday’s contest against Kansas. Patterson said he hoped to know more about Boykin’s status on Tuesday.
Foster Sawyer filled in at quarterback against the Jayhawks after Boykin’s injury and would draw the start if Boykin can’t play.
Saturday’s contest between the two 9-1 teams is basically an elimination game per the College Football Playoff system. Oklahoma was ranked seventh in last week’s poll and TCU was ranked 12th.
