LAWRENCE, Kan. — Perry Ellis scored 19 points Wednesday night and made all three 3-pointers he attempted to help the No. 7 Kansas Jayhawks slam the Kansas State Wildcats 77-59 in Allen Fieldhouse.

Devonte’ Graham and Svi Mykhailiuk added 10 points each for the Jayhawks, who looked sluggish at times coming off an overtime victory against Kentucky.
Wesley Iwundu led Kansas State with 15 points. Stephen Hurt added a double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds, helping the Wildcats to a 36-21 advantage on the boards. Barry Brown came off the bench to net 11 points.
The Jayhawks countered the Wildcats’ dominance of the glass with 55.1 percent shooting.No. 4 Maryland 70, Nebraska 65
LINCOLN, Neb. — Melo Trimble scored 20 points and the No. 4 Terrapins overcame 18 turnovers to defeat the Cornhuskers at Pinnacle Bank Arena.
Trimble committed three turnovers in the first half but made three 3-pointers in the second half to help Maryland win its third conference road game by a single-digit margin.

MIAMI, Fla. — The No. 17 Hurricanes got a big game from an unexpected source to hand the Fighting Irish a loss in an Atlantic Coast Conference matchup at BankUnited Center.
Anthony Lawrence scored a game- and career-high 18 points including a career-high four 3-pointers as the Hurricanes took command of the game late in the first half. Lawrence was one of five Hurricanes in double figures. He was followed by Sheldon McClellan, Angel Rodriguez, and Ja’Quan Newton all with 12 each and Kamari Murphy with 11.
Bonzie Colson led Notre Dame with 18 points, 12 in the first half. V.J. Beachem scored 14 and Zach Auguste 12 for the Irish.No. 5 Iowa 73, Penn State 49
IOWA CITY, Iowa — The fifth-ranked Hawkeyes upped their winning streak at Carver-Hawkeye Arena to 15 games, a streak dating back to last season, by beating the Nittany Lions.
The story of this game was Iowa’s defense. Penn State missed 12 of its first 15 shots and wound up shooting 21-for-69 (30.4 percent) from the floor — including 1-for-20 from 3-point range — while also getting to the free-throw line just 12 times the entire night.
Adam Woodbury hauled in a career-high 15 rebounds, Jarrod Uthoff finished with 14 points and four blocks, Anthony Clemmons had 12 points, six rebounds and four assists, and Peter Jok added 12 points for Iowa.No. 9 Virginia 61, Boston College 47
CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. — The No. 9 Cavaliers got 27 points from Malcolm Brogdon in a dismantling of the Eagles at John Paul Jones Arena.
Brogdon scored 20 or more points for the 11th time this season and was one point from tying a career high.
Anthony Gill had 10 points and 11 rebounds for Virginia.

CINCINNATI — Trevon Bluiett recorded his fifth double-double this season and Myles Davis scored all of his team-leading 16 points in the second half, helping the No. 6 Musketeers fend off the Red Storm at Cintas Center.
Bluiett scored 15 points and had 13 rebounds for Xavier, which overcame 15 turnovers and poor early shooting to reach 20 victories for the third straight season. Five players scored in double figures for the Musketeers, including J.P. Macura, who scored 12 points, James Farr, who had 11, and Edmond Sumner, who had 10.
Felix Balamou scored 11 of his 20 points in the first half for St. John’s. Durand Johnson had 18 points and Kassoum Yakwe added 14 for the Red Storm.No. 3 Villanova 83, Creighton 58
VILLANOVA, Pa. — The No. 3 Wildcats hit 16 3-pointers and got 22 points from Kris Jenkins in a rout of the Bluejays.
Jalen Brunson had 16 points and went 4 of 6 on 3-pointers for Villanova.

The 21st-ranked Shockers win over the Salukis gave coach Gregg Marshall win No. 221 to become the school’s career leader.
Marshall is 221-81 in nine seasons at WSU and he is also the career wins leader (194-83) at Winthrop. WSU also won its 43rd straight home game, the nation’s longest streak. Its 12-game win streak is tied for the program’s fourth-longest streak.

Ryan Anderson scored a career-high 31 points, helping the Wildcats overcome a cold-shooting start en route to a win over the Cougars in Pullman, Wash.
Anderson made 10 of 16 shots from the field and 11 of 17 attempts from the free throw line. He did most of his work in the paint, pulling down 12 rebounds for his 11th double-double of the season.
Gabe York added 14 points for Arizona (18-5, 6-4 Pac-12). Ike Iroegbu led Washington State (9-13, 1-9) with 20 points, and Josh Hawkinson posted his 16th double-double of the season with 14 points and 17 rebounds
