GAME BREAKDOWN

KEY MATCHUP: TCU’s secondary vs. Oklahoma’s wide receivers. The Horned Frogs’ strength is their defense, and if their defense is to be successful against the Sooners, they’ll need to find a way to keep players like Marquise Brown and CeeDee Lamb in check. TCU averages 2.8 sacks per game, which is good but not great but are No. 20 in the country in passing yards allowed per game — nearly 25 yards per game better than Iowa State, the second-best Big 12 team in that regard.

DRAFT SLANT

–WR Marquise Brown is fourth nationally in yards per game with 112.5; he is first in the nation among players averaging at least four receptions per game with 22.7 yards per catch. Brown has had 12 receptions of at least 50 yards since the start of last season, best in the country by four. Brown arrived in Norman with speed, but he’s become a much more complete players over the last two seasons and has added size to help with durability after coming to OU weighing less than 150 pounds.

ROSTER REPORT:

–OG Ben Powers and DE Kenneth Mann both returned and started against Texas after missing the win over Baylor.

–WR Mykel Jones, a junior, has not played since the second game of the season after averaging 19.4 yards per catch a year ago and playing in 26 games over the past two seasons.

–LB Caleb Kelly, a junior who had been mentioned as a redshirt possibility after sitting out for wins over Iowa State and Army, has now played in four games and is unlikely to redshirt.
