Oklahoma running back Trey Sermon and defensive tackle Kenneth Mann both sustained season-ending injuries in Saturday night’s 42-41 victory against Iowa State.

Sooners coach Lincoln Riley confirmed Monday that both starters will require surgery.

Sermon, a junior, injured his knee late in the first half. He has rushed for 385 yards and four touchdowns this season and has 2,467 yards from scrimmage and 25 scores in 36 career games.

Mann, a fifth-year senior, also left Saturday’s game in the second quarter with an undisclosed injury. He has 86 career tackles, 13 tackles for loss and six sacks since the start of the 2016 campaign.

The Sooners (8-1, 5-1 Big 12) return to action Saturday night at Baylor (9-0, 6-0).
