TCU standout offensive tackle Lucas Niang will undergo season-ending surgery to repair a torn labrum in his hip, according to multiple reports.

Niang reportedly learned he needed surgery on the troublesome hip on Thursday when he met with specialists in New York. Yet he decided to play in Saturday’s victory over Texas before calling it a career.

According to reports, Niang indicated on a social-media account that he has played his last game for the Horned Frogs.

Niang will reportedly be sidelined three to four months.

The 6-foot-7, 325-pound Niang is considered one of the top tackle prospects for the 2020 NFL Draft. Barring setbacks during his recovery, he figures to be selected in the first or second round.

Niang was in his third season as a starter at TCU.
