GAME BREAKDOWN

KEY MATCHUP: Michigan averages just below 200 rushing yards per game with 13 TDs on the ground but now faces a Wisconsin defense that has held opponents to 4.43 yards per carry and only three TDs. The last time the Wolverines didn’t have at least one rushing score was Week 2 of last season against Cincinnati.

DRAFT SLANT

–LB Devin Bush, who leads Michigan in tackles with 39, has much more of an impact than his statistics and that could be what helps him go high in the 2019 NFL Draft. “I like everything about Devin Bush,” Wolverines coach Jim Harbaugh said. “Probably what I liked the best in this past game, just how well he did getting everybody lined up. There were so many shifts, so many motions, so many eye distractions going on pre-snap.”

ROSTER REPORT:

–DL Michael Dwumfour had a sack against Maryland before being carted off with an apparent lower-body injury. Coach Jim Harbaugh said the situation is “better than what it looked” like on Saturday.

–DE Rashan Gary was held out last week because of a shoulder injury and his status for the Wisconsin game is uncertain. “Still evaluating,” Harbaugh said. “We’ll see.”

–WR Tarik Black, who had foot surgery before the season opener, is “continuing to progress nicely” but there’s no timetable for his return.
