GAME BREAKDOWN

KEY MATCHUP: With Nebraska’s offense picking up steam, the Cornhuskers now face a stiff test in Michigan State’s defense. The Spartans boast the No. 21 total defense in the FBS, giving up 327.3 yards per game, as well as the No. 1 rush defense in the nation (76.5). Behind RB Devine Ozigbo, Nebraska ranks No. 22 in the FBS ranks in rushing (226.5).

DRAFT SLANT

–WR Stanley Morgan Jr., a senior, has improved his draft stock over the last few weeks. He’s retaken his claim as Nebraska’s top receiver. Against Illinois, he hauled in eight catches for 131 yards with two touchdowns. He’ll also be one of the seniors celebrating Senior Day.

“Every day at practice he’s got a smile on his face, he’s excited to do warm-ups to get ready to practice,” coach Scott Frost said. “There’s always positive energy coming out of Stanley and you need that on your team.”
