GAME BREAKDOWN

KEY MATCHUP: Purdue ranks No. 16 in the FBS in passing offense (318.3 yards per game), so Nebraska’s secondary will have its hands full. The Cornhuskers rank No. 74 in the FBS in passing defense (222.3), so the Boilermakers seem the have the edge. Nebraska defensive back Tre Neal said that Saturday, however, is an opportunity for the Cornhuskers to move forward.

“Just got to move on,” Neal said. “Got to focus on this week. Purdue team coming in that’s really good, so you can’t take those things for granted. We’ve taken those little things for granted earlier in this year. Again, you’ve just got to move forward and try to go 1-0 this week.”

DRAFT SLANT

–DL Mick Stoltenberg, who was thought of as one of the more viable draft candidates for Nebraska going into the season, has been limited to just three tackles, all assists, through two appearances in 2018. A knee injury has Stoltenberg downgraded to doubtful against Purdue.

ROSTER REPORT:

–QB Andrew Bunch is probable with a knee injury.

–DB JoJo Domann is questionable with an undisclosed injury.

–LB Mohamed Barry is coming off an 11-tackle performance against Michigan — his second double-digit tackle tally against a Power Five opponent this season.
