Potential No. 1 draft pick and Heisman Trophy finalist Chase Young told TMZ Sports he plans to return to Ohio State next season.

“That’s the plan,” the Buckeyes’ 6-foot-5, 265-pound junior defensive end said Friday in New York City, where he will attend Saturday night’s Heisman awards ceremony.

Young leads the nation with a school-record 16.5 sacks and has 44 tackles, 21 tackles for loss, and seven forced fumbles in 11 games this season.

He was named the Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year and Defensive Lineman of the Year and won the Nagurski Trophy and the Bednarik and Hendricks awards.

No. 2 Ohio State (13-0) faces No. 3 Clemson (13-0) in the College Football Playoff semifinals on Dec. 28 at the Fiesta Bowl in Glendale, Ariz.
