Purdue’s Elijah Sindelar, the nation’s leading passer after two games, will be a game-time decision for this weekend’s home game against TCU, coach Jeff Brohm announced Thursday.

“He’s still in concussion protocol and we’re going to let it play out and it will be a game-time decision,” Brohm told reporters after practice.

Sindelar suffered the concussion late in Saturday’s win over Vanderbilt.

Sindelar, a senior, is averaging 466 passing yards through two games, including a 509-yard performance in last weekend’s 42-24 victory over visiting Vanderbilt. He earned Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week honors and became the first Purdue quarterback with 500 yards and five touchdown passes in a game since Kyle Orton in 2004.

Sindelar was sent to the medical tent on the sideline during the Boilermakers’ final series on Saturday after he rushed for 7 yards.

His backup is redshirt freshman Jack Plummer, who has yet to appear in a game.

Purdue also revealed that linebacker Markus Bailey suffered a season-ending knee injury in Tuesday’s practice and that offensive lineman Matt McCann (ankle), wide receiver Jared Sparks and tight end Brycen Hopkins were also game-time decisions.
