Rutgers running back Raheem Blackshear has entered his name in the transfer portal, ESPN reported Wednesday.

Blackshear, a former team captain, played the first four games of the 2019 season before sitting out the rest to preserve a season of eligibility. He made the decision not to play after coach Chris Ash was fired in late September.

Blackshear has two seasons of eligibility remaining.

Blackshear had 88 yards rushing on 29 carries and caught 29 passes for 310 yards and two touchdowns this season before opting to sit out.

In 2018, Blackshear rushed for 586 yards and three touchdowns and had 44 receptions for 367 yards and two scores.

Rutgers quarterback Artur Sitkowski placed his name in the transfer portal earlier this week. He has three seasons of eligibility remaining.
