KEY MATCHUP: The Scarlet Knights are four-touchdown underdogs in this week’s season finale at Michigan State. That means Rutgers should have trouble all over the field. The Spartans know they can focus on the Rutgers running attack in an offense that can’t throw the ball effectively. A major challenge for the Knights this week is just having the energy against a good team on its Senior Day.

–LB Trevor Morris shook off a dislocated elbow suffered in camp and for his third straight 100-tackle season. Last season, his 118 tackles were second in the Big Ten. This season, he has 101 through 10 games, including 3.5 for loss and 1.5 sacks. He also has four pass breakups, four quarterback hits, two forced fumbles and a fumble recovery. He now has 327 tackles for his career, ninth all-time at Rutgers, and is the third Scarlet Knight with three 100-tackle seasons.
ROSTER REPORT:
–LBs Deonte Roberts and Trevor Morris led Rutgers in the loss to Penn State with 10 tackles apiece.
–WR Bo Melton had three of Rutgers’ five pass receptions in the Penn State game.
–DB Isaiah Wharton had four passes defended in the latest loss, an interception and three breakups. “Isaiah Wharton played lights out and had one of his best games he’s had in a long time,” said coach Chris Ash.
