COACH: Larry Coker — At UTSA: 4-6, 1 year

OVERALL: 64-21, 7 years

OFFENSIVE COORDINATOR: Kevin Brown

DEFENSIVE COORDINATOR: Neal Neathery

LAST LEAGUE TITLE: None

LAST BOWL: None

RETURNING STARTERS: 23; 11 offense, 10 defense, kicker, punter

PLAYERS TO WATCH: QB Eric Soza, WR Kam Jones, OG Scott Inskeep, DE Marlon Smith, LB Steven Kurfehs, LB Brandon Reeves, CB Darrien Starling

PRIMARY STRENGTHS: Wide receiver offers an abundance of playing styles and options, most notably Jones’ ability to make things happen in the open field. The Roadrunners love their rotation at defensive tackle. Linebackers Kurfehs and Reeves are smart, aggressive and disciplined.

POTENTIAL PROBLEMS: Despite a year of experience and another recruiting class, the Roadrunners are still dangerously thin in many areas. Offensive line and the secondary are especially susceptible to injuries. The Roadrunners have yet to identify an every-down tailback, and special teams might again be a major issue.
