Mississippi cornerback Ken Webster sustained a leg injury in the first quarter against Florida State on Monday and was carted off the field in Orlando, Fla.
Webster, a junior, leaped while covering Seminoles wide receiver Kermit Whitfield on a deep pass down the middle and landed awkwardly. His left knee appeared to buckle.
Webster was in immediate pain, as teammates quickly motioned to the sideline for assistance after the play.
A starter for the Rebels all last season, Webster had 41 tackles, three for losses, and an interception in 2015.
