Ian Book – Important – Injury
QB Ian Book will not play in Saturday’s game against Florida State because of a rib injury, multiple media outlets reported Thursday. According to IrishSportsDaily.com, Book suffered multiple injuries to his midsection in Saturday’s game at Northwestern, and those injuries will prevent him from playing Saturday. He finished the game and has played a major role in Notre Dame’s 9-0 record that has elevated the Irish to the No. 3 spot in this week’s College Football Playoff rankings. Presumably Brandon Wimbush, who was Notre Dame’s starting quarterback when the season began, will start against the Seminoles.
