Boise State linebacker Curtis Weaver is bypassing his final season to enter the 2020 NFL Draft.

“I came here as a fat boy and I’m leaving as a young man,” the junior pass rusher tweeted Saturday. “You all played a part in shaping me over the course of my career. I poured my heart and soul into Boise State Football every time I set foot onto the field. I am forever grateful and honored to be a Bronco.”

Weaver registered 52 tackles, 13.5 sacks, 19.5 tackles for loss and one interception in 14 games in 2019.

He had two tackles in Boise State’s 38-7 loss to Washington in the Las Vegas Bowl on Dec. 21.

His three-year totals include a Mountain West-record 34 sacks. He also posted 47.5 tackles for loss, 128 tackles and two interceptions in 40 games with the Broncos.

The 6-foot-3, 265-pound Weaver has been projected to go within the first two rounds of the draft this April.
