GAME BREAKDOWN

KEY MATCHUP: Arizona State goes from playing against one of the top defenses in the nation — Utah — and being successful against the Utes (with 536 yards of total offense) to facing one of the worst defensive units in the Pac-12 — UCLA. The Bruins are No. 11 against the run in the Pac-12 allowing 208.2 yards a game while the Sun Devils, behind prolific runner Eno Benjamin, are third in the conference in rushing offense with 185.4 yards a game.

DRAFT SLANT

–WR N’Keal Harry, projected to be a high first-round draft selection, helped shred Utah’s credible secondary last week with nine receptions for 161 yards and three touchdowns.

ROSTER REPORT:

–TE Ceejhay French-Love, a senior who came to Arizona State last year via the junior college route, announced last month his intention to transfer from ASU via Twitter only to return to practice the next week. Now it is being reported that he will redshirt this season.

–DT D.J. Davidson, a freshman, suffered a broken ankle at USC two weeks ago and is out for the remainder of the season.

–LB Koron Crump is no longer with the team after deciding to concentrate on becoming 100 percent healthy in preparation for Arizona State’s pro day next spring, according to multiple reports. He received a sixth-year of eligibility ahead of this season after suffering an ACL tear in his left knee on Sept. 16, 2017, against Texas Tech. At the time, he was leading the Pac-12 in sacks.
