GAME BREAKDOWN

KEY MATCHUP: Washington was stunned last year as the No. 5 team in the nation, losing at ASU 13-7. The Sun Devils limited the Huskies to only 91 yards rushing in the game at Tempe, Ariz. The scene shifts to Seattle this week and Washington must believe it can run against as ASU defense that got shredded for 311 rushing yards last week in the loss at San Diego State. How ASU fares against Washington RB Miles Gaskin (271 yards on 61 carries) might go a long way to the outcome.

DRAFT SLANT

–WR N’Keal Harry, a projected first- or second-round pick in the 2019 NFL draft, through two games has 21 receptions for 315 yards and four touchdowns. In last week’s loss at San Diego State, Harry had nine receptions for 86 yards and a touchdown.

ROSTER REPORT:

–DE Darius Slade did not play last week at San Diego State because of a finger injury, but he should be available Saturday when the Sun Devils play at Washington, ASU coach Herm Edwards said.

–S Dasmond Tautalatasi injured his elbow in the win over Michigan State two weeks ago while making an interception. He did not play against San Diego State last week and is questionable for this week at Washington.

–RB Trelon Smith has missed the first three games with what is termed a coach’s decision. ASU coach Herm Edwards said Smith would play last week at San Diego State, but Smith did not participate. He missed several practices during fall camp for what Edwards termed an illness.
