GAME BREAKDOWN

KEY MATCHUP: ASU’s offense has been stagnant this season with its rushing game and passing games taking turns not being effective in recent games. The Sun Devils rank No. 8 in the Pac-12, gaining only 393.0 yards per game. Look for ASU to get on track against a porous Oregon State defense that ranks last in the conference allowing 540.0 yards per game.

DRAFT SLANT

–WR N’Keal Harry, a projected first- or second-round pick in the 2019 NFL Draft, has 26 receptions for 335 yards and four touchdowns through four games. He ranks No. 21 nationally with 6.5 catches per game.

ROSTER REPORT:

–DE Darius Slade did not play in the past two weeks at San Diego State and Washington because of a finger injury. ASU coach Herm Edwards said last week that Slade should play against the Huskies, but he didn’t. His status for Saturday’s game against Oregon State is not known.

–S Dasmond Tautalatasi injured his elbow in the win over Michigan State three weeks ago while making an interception. He did not play against San Diego State or Washington; his status for Saturday against Oregon State is unknown.

–RB Trelon Smith, who missed the first three games with what was termed a coach’s decision, made his season debut against Washington last week. He gained 45 yards on eight carries, breaking one for 19 yards.
