GAME BREAKDOWN

KEY MATCHUP: Stanford’s strength is usually its defense, but the Cardinal ranks No. 9 in the Pac-12 in that category, allowing 399.7 yards a game. Stanford’s defense has only five interceptions through the first six games and is ninth in pass defense, yielding 235.3 yards a game. That is promising news for ASU wide receiver N’Keal Harry, a likely NFL first-round draft choice. Harry leads the Sun Devils with 34 receptions for 481 yards and five touchdowns.

DRAFT SLANT

–WR N’Keal Harry is widely rated as a first-round draft pick come April. He leads the Sun Devils with 34 receptions for 481 yards and five touchdowns.

ROSTER REPORT:

–S Dasmond Tautalatasi injured his elbow in the win over Michigan State last month while making an interception. He has not played in the last four games. His status for this week’s game against Stanford is questionable.

–LB Jay Jay Wilson has missed the last two games with an ankle injury. His status for Thursday’s game against Stanford is questionable.

–LB Koron Crump is no longer with the team after deciding to concentrate on becoming 100 percent healthy in preparation for ASU’s pro day next spring, according to multiple reports. He received a sixth year of eligibility ahead of this season after suffering an ACL tear in his left knee on Sept. 16, 2017, against Texas Tech. At the time, he was leading the Pac-12 in sacks.
