PLAYERS TO WATCH

–RB Travon McMillion should have a chance to get back above the 100-yard rushing mark against an Oregon State defense that surrenders a Pac-12 worst 274.6 yards per game. The Virginia Tech transfer has four 100-yard efforts on the year, but none in Colorado’s last two games, both losses.

–WR Daniel Arias made the first catch of his career count when the freshman took a Steven Montez pass 37 yards against Washington for his first-ever trip to the end zone. The score against the Huskies was a bit of a homecoming for the Mill Creek, Wash., native.

–ILB Nate Landman continues to terrorize defenses, notching his fourth double-digit tackle performance last week with 11 takedowns against Southern California — including his second forced fumble on the year. The sophomore leads Colorado with 66 tackles, 30 more than the next closest teammate, linebacker Rick Gamboa.

–FS Nick Fisher nabbed his second career interception last week, taking a Jake Browning pass 30 yards in the opposite direction. The senior’s first career pick came versus California last season on a 100-yard grab-and-scamper. Fisher has 24 tackles, 1.5 of them for a loss, and a pass broken up on the year.

SERIES HISTORY: The contest on Saturday will serve as a rubber match of sorts between Colorado and Oregon State, who have split the 10 games dating to the 1931 season. The Buffs have won three straight over the Beavers. Oregon State has lost 22 consecutive road contests. The last time the Beavers won away from Reser Stadium was Oct. 4, 2014, a 36-31 victory over Colorado in Boulder.

QUOTE TO NOTE: “If we take care of our business, that gives us another week to kind of keep surviving and keep playing. That’s what we’d like to do.” –Colorado head coach Mike MacIntyre
