GAME BREAKDOWN
KEY MATCHUP: USC has a trio of talented receivers in junior Michael Pittman Jr., sophomore Tyler Vaughns and freshman Amon-Ra St. John, who have combined for 94 receptions, 1,430 yards and 11 touchdowns. That puts a lot of pressure on Oregon State’s pass defense, which has allowed 24 TDs and more than 273 passing yards per game. The Beavers have intercepted only two passes.
ROSTER REPORT:
–RB Artavis Pierce missed the Colorado game after aggravating a rib injury during pregame warm-ups. His status for Saturday’s matchup with USC is uncertain.
–QB Conor Blount, who suffered a concussion against California on Oct. 20, remains in concussion protocol but could be cleared to play this week.
