GAME BREAKDOWN

KEY MATCHUP: The bevy of departures and injuries in the USC secondary put pressure on the Trojans this week with a potent Colorado offense coming to the Coliseum. The deep rotation of CU wide receivers are catching 75 percent of all pass attempts so far on the season, with quarterback Steven Montez averaging 9.2 yards per completion.

The secondary will have its work cut out for it limiting the primary three targets: Laviska Shenault Jr., K.D. Nixon and Jay MacIntyre.

DRAFT SLANT

–CB Iman Marshall offers USC’s best chance of countering Laviska Shenault Jr. The 6-foot-2, 210-pound Shenault is precisely the kind of receiver the 6-foot-1, 205-pound Marshall is best-equipped to cover. Saturday’s matchup should offer a glimpse at the viability of Marshall as a coverage corner on big-bodied possession receivers.

ROSTER REPORT:

–S Bubba Bolden, who did not appear in the Trojans’ first five games, is no longer enrolled at USC.

–DT Malik Dorton is questionable due to a quadriceps injury.

–LB Palaie Gaoteote is questionable due to a knee injury.
