GAME BREAKDOWN

KEY MATCHUP: Oregon comes into Saturday’s matchup ranked second in the Pac-12 in rushing yards allowed per game; first is Utah, against which Washington rushed for 170 yards and two touchdowns. The Washington offensive line, which struggled at times in the Huskies’ first three games, needs to create push against Oregon’s talented front to establish the run. As important, however, is protecting QB Jake Browning. Pass protection was Washington’s biggest issue in the early half of the season, including in the win at Utah and the loss Week 1 to Auburn.

DRAFT SLANT

–C Nick Harris may not be a 2019 draftee; he is eligible, but has another season remaining at Washington if he chooses. Harris has come on strong despite an early-season injury, establishing himself as an anchor for a Huskies offensive line adjusting to preseason All-American Trey Adams’ absence.

ROSTER REPORT:

–CB Austin Joyner missed his second consecutive game on Oct. 6 due to a concussion. His status for Saturday is uncertain.

–TE Hunter Bryant, who has missed the entire season to this point due to a knee injury, could make a return late in the season, Chris Petersen told reporters before last week’s game.

–RB Myles Gaskin moved to No. 5 all-time among Pac-12 players with 50 career rushing touchdowns. He is now two behind USC’s LenDale White for fourth, and 10 behind all-time conference leader Royce Freeman of Oregon.
