Starting center Chris Owens is “very questionable” for No. 1 Alabama’s game Saturday at No. 24 Texas A&M, Crimson Tide coach Nick Saban said.
The 6-foot-3, 315-pound redshirt junior has not practiced all week due to a knee injury and was replaced by junior Landon Dickerson during drills on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Dickerson started at center when Owens sat out the Sept. 7 win over New Mexico State with an injury.
During their 5-0 start, the Crimson Tide offense has averaged 174.0 rushing yards per game and the line has allowed only six sacks of quarterback Tua Tagovailoa.
