Seeking to give the offense a jolt, Arkansas is turning to grad transfer Nick Starkel at quarterback.

Coach Chad Morris said Starkel will start Saturday for the Razorbacks (1-1, 0-1 SEC) against Colorado State (1-1).

Starkel played in 11 games over two seasons at Texas A&M before transferring.

On Saturday, he replaced Ben Hicks, a transfer from SMU, and completed 17 of 24 passes for 201 yards and a touchdown. Hicks was 7 of 16 for 98 yards in the 31-17 loss.

In Week 1, the Razorbacks defeated FCS opponent Portland State 20-13.
