LSU sophomore defensive back Kelvin Joseph, a top 50 recruit out of high school, is transferring to Kenutcky.

Joseph, who changed his Twitter biography to read “DB at University of Kentucky,” will sit out the 2019 season due to transfer rules. He will have three years of eligibility remaining.

Joseph played cornerback and safety in 11 games for the Tigers last season, when he had 11 tackles and one pass breakup. He was suspended for the Fiesta Bowl for a violation of team rules.

In May, Joseph entered the transfer portal before removing his name shortly afterward. However, he re-entered his name in July.

The Louisiana native chose Kentucky over Auburn, Florida, Maryland and Mississippi State.
