Kellen Mond threw for 353 yards and freshman Seth Small kicked four field goals, including the go-ahead kick in the fourth quarter, to lift No. 22 Texas A&M to a 26-23 victory over South Carolina on Saturday.

South Carolina quarterback Jake Bentley rallied the Gamecocks with two touchdowns and two-point conversions to tie the score at 16-16 at the end of the third quarter, but the Aggies were able score on their final two possessions to secure the win.

The Gamecocks made things interesting when Bentley connected with Deebo Samuel on a six-yard touchdown pass with 48 seconds remaining to cut the lead to 26-23. South Carolina recovered the onside kick, but the ball only traveled nine and one-half yards and Texas A&M was able to run out the clock.

Texas A&M held the ball for 41:29, running 77 plays for 458 yards. The Aggies outgained the Gamecocks, 458-299, in the victory.

South Carolina will have its bye week next Saturday and return to the field on Saturday, Oct. 27 when the Gamecocks host Tennessee. Texas A&M will have their bye week next Saturday and will travel to Mississippi State on Oct. 27.
