Florida offensive lineman Chris Bleich, who has started eight games this season, has entered the transfer portal, according to multiple reports.

Bleich, a redshirt freshman, has been losing playing time recently and was replaced during Florida’s 24-17 loss to Georgia last Saturday. Junior Brett Heggie moved from left guard to right guard for Bleich, while redshirt freshman Richard Gouraige stepped in at left guard.

Bleich was a three-star recruit from Hanover Township, Pa.

His departure leaves Florida thin up front, as Gouraige was the top backup at guard and tackle. The Gators’ primary backups will be true freshmen Ethan White and Michael Tarquin, and redshirt sophomore T.J. Moore.

Bleich had started every game this season, except for the contest against South Carolina, when he was out with a foot injury. Florida (7-2, 4-2 SEC) has three games left in the regular season.
