Georgia wide receiver Lawrence Cager suffered an ankle injury in practice on Wednesday and could miss several weeks, according to multiple reports.

Cager, a grad transfer from Miami, is the leading receiver for the No. 4 Bulldogs.

The team hasn’t commented on the injury, but DawgNation described it as “serious” and said Cager could miss the rest of the season.

He has battled through shoulder and rib injuries and missed last week’s 19-13 win over Texas A&M.

On the season, the 6-foot-5 Cager has 33 catches for 476 yards and four touchdowns in nine games.

Georgia (10-1) faces Georgia Tech on Saturday and will meet No. 2 LSU in the Southeastern Conference championship game on Dec. 7.
