Georgia has landed its latest home-grown quarterback prospect.

Brock Vandagriff, ranked as the No. 1 pro-style quarterback in the Class of 2021, announced via Twitter on Tuesday that he will play for the Bulldogs. He attends Prince Avenue Christian School in Bogart, Ga., just outside Athens.

“I’m staying home. #GoDawgs #CommitToTheG,” he wrote.

The 6-foot 2 1/2, 199-pound recruit committed to Oklahoma on June 20, then decommitted on Jan. 1.

“These last couple of months have brought to my attention how hard it is going to be for me to attend college so far away from home,” Vandagriff wrote then on Twitter.

Before choosing Oklahoma, he had Georgia in his top six schools, which also consisted of Clemson, Auburn, Tennessee and Florida.

Aside from being the top quarterback, the 247sports composite also lists him as the No. 1 player in talent-rich Georgia and the No. 8 prospect in the nation.

Recent signees Jake Fromm (2017) and Justin Fields (2018) also played high school football in Georgia. Fromm recently announced he will enter the 2020 NFL Draft after three seasons with the Bulldogs. Fields transferred to Ohio State after one season.
