Suspended LSU right guard Ed Ingram has been reinstated to the team after two counts of aggravated sexual assault were dismissed in Texas on Friday.

“Our whole team and our LSU family welcomes Ed Ingram back,” said head coach Ed Orgeron in a statement.

“He is an outstanding football player, an integral part of our football team and family and we are excited to have him back with us.”

Ingram was arrested on Aug. 2 on warrants issued by police in his hometown of DeSoto, Texas, according to the Dallas County Sheriff’s office. He was suspended by LSU the following day.

He was released from jail after posting $40,000 bond.

According to multiple reports, Ingram had been reported to police in August 2017 by Child Protective Services for alleged incidents that occurred while he was a juvenile, and the victim in the case was a minor.

Ingram started the final 12 games of last season as a freshman.

He won’t play for the Tigers at Vanderbilt on Saturday but will be available to return after the upcoming bye week. LSU’s next game is against Utah State on Oct. 5.
