LSU freshman linebacker Donte Starks has been suspended from the team indefinitely for an unspecified rules violation, Tigers coach Ed Orgeron announced Saturday.
Starks appeared in three games for the undefeated national champions this season, mostly on special teams. He did not record a tackle.
“I accept the mistakes that I have made in my life now it’s time to grow up and get right,” Starks posted Friday on Twitter.
Starks was a four-star recruit in LSU’s 2019 recruiting class, ranked No. 9 overall in the state of Louisiana and No. 10 nationally among inside linebackers by the 247 Sports Composite.
