KEY MATCHUP: LSU’s linebackers against State’s running backs. The running game is the key to the Bulldogs’ success as it was last season when State routed LSU. It will be up to Devin White and company to contain the Bulldogs’ running backs and force Nick Fitzgerald to try and move the ball through the air.

–CB Greedy Williams is projected as a possible first-round pick next April if he bypasses his senior season. He has two interceptions, even though teams generally throw away from him, and he also has been solid against the run.

–G Garrett Brumfield (knee) is expected to miss his fifth consecutive game.
–G Ed Ingram, who would have started on the right side, is suspended indefinitely.
–LB Tyler Taylor, a backup, is suspended indefinitely.
–LB K’Lavon Chaisson (knee) is out for the season.
–TE Jamal Pettigrew, who would have been a backup, is out for the season because of a knee injury.
