LSU quarterback Joe Burrow broke the Southeastern Conference’s single-season passing yardage record and tied the single-season touchdown pass mark in Saturday night’s 50-7 win over Texas A&M.

Burrow’s 11-yard pass to Clyde Edwards-Helaire in the third quarter pushed him past Tim Couch, who set the record with 4,275 passing yards at Kentucky in 1998. Burrow, the Heisman Trophy front-runner, finished with 352 passing yards to complete the regular season with 4,366.

He also threw three touchdowns to reach 44 for the season, equaling Missouri’s Drew Lock (2017) for the SEC single-season mark.

No SEC player had ever before topped 4,000 passing yards and 40 touchdowns in a season.

Burrow has just six interceptions on the season.

The Tigers scored the first 34 points against the Aggies, with Burrow throwing touchdown passes of 12, 78 and 18 yards.
