GAME BREAKDOWN

KEY MATCHUP: Georgia quarterback Jake Fromm is one of the conference’s elite signal callers, and he seems to have picked up where he left off last season, when he led Georgia to its first college football playoff appearance, narrowly losing to Alabama in the national championship game. Fromm has completed 37 of 46 passes this season, amassing 479 yards and six touchdowns with only one interception. Missouri’s secondary surrendered 572 passing yards in its 40-37 win at Purdue last Saturday, a single-game record for the Boilermakers, and will need to make significant adjustments in preparing for Fromm.

DRAFT SLANT

–QB Drew Lock completed 26 of 43 passes for 375 yards and three touchdowns against Purdue, and has thrown for 200 or more yards in 21 of his last 22 games, including 13 straight. Lock’s 82 career touchdown passes rank sixth all-time in SEC history, within striking distance of names like Tim Tebow (88), Chris Leak (88) and Peyton Manning (89).

ROSTER REPORT:

–LT Yasir Durant rolled his ankle in the second quarter of Missouri’s 40-37 win at Purdue and was replaced by redshirt freshman Hyrin White, who looked poised throughout the game in his first D-I road experience. Odom indicated Tuesday that he expects Durant to resume his starting role Saturday against Georgia.

–CB DeMarkus Acy left the game against Purdue after the first play and was placed into concussion protocol, but has been practicing in a limited capacity this week and is expected to be cleared to play against Georgia.
