Conner suffered torn meniscus cartilage in his right knee during Saturday’s victory over Alabama, according to Rebels coach Hugh Freeze.

Conner, a junior, was a preseason All-American and is forecasted to be a first-round NFL pick should he declare for the draft after this season.

“It’s one of the things I despise most about this game is young men put so much effort into playing and then you get hit with some bad news about injuries,” Freeze told reporters. “Every team goes through it.”
