*JoeJuan Williams – Noteworthy
Vanderbilt cornerback Joejuan Williams wasn’t happy with his 40 time at the NFL Combine. At the school’s Pro Day on Tuesday, he went out and did something about it. With roughly 50 NFL officials on hand, Williams improved on his previous time, and he hopes it helped his draft stock. A total of 15 players took part in Vanderbilt’s Pro Day. “I felt good,” Williams said. “That’s something I wanted to come out and prove — prove my speed. I didn’t have a great showing at the combine with the 40, but I got another week out and did well. “… I think it showed NFL teams that I can run. I tell all the NFL teams that I’ve got the full package – I can run, cover and hit. And that’s something I think I proved. I can run.” Williams ran the 40 twice at Vanderbilt’s indoor training facility, and a quick survey of stopwatches showed times in the low 4.5s and the low 4.6s. Williams said he was clocked with a laser time of 4.55. – Titansonline.com
