PLAYERS TO WATCH
–QB Kyle Shurmur threw the ball well despite winds that gusted up to about 40 miles an hour at Kentucky. Shurmur was 15 of 23 for 216 yards and a touchdown against an outstanding Kentucky pass defense.
–RB Ke’Shawn Vaughn leads Vanderbilt with 6.9 yards per carry.
–ILB Jordan Griffin leads the SEC with 86 total tackles (43 solo). He’s had 18 each of the last two weeks.
–CB JoeJuan Williams is VU’s best cover corner. It’ll be interesting to see if true freshman quarterback Connor Noland throws his way.
SERIES HISTORY: Arkansas leads, 7-2. Arkansas won the last matchup, 31-28, in Nashville in 2011.
