PLAYERS TO WATCH

–QB Kyle Shurmur hasn’t played to his potential for four consecutive games. The senior continues to get flustered by pressure, and a multitude of drops have contributed to a 58.7 completion percentage. Shurmur has thrown for 1,629 yards, 11 touchdowns and five interceptions.

–WR Kalija Lipscomb has 49 catches for 560 yards and six touchdowns, and ranks second in the SEC in catches.

–ILB Jordan Griffin had a career-high 18 tackles last week, 10 solo. He’s second in the SEC with 9.7 stops per game, and second overall with 37 solo stops.

–ILB Dimitri Moore ranks third on the team in tackles. Moore, a redshirt freshman, has started the last five games and rarely comes off the field.

SERIES HISTORY: Kentucky leads, 44-42-4, and has won the last two meetings. Vanderbilt’s last win in Lexington came in 2012. The teams have met every season since 1953.

QUOTE TO NOTE: “I really don’t worry about our guys going on the road to play football. I don’t. I think venues help. The energy in those venues help. It’s another televised game.” — coach Derek Mason, when asked if he was concerned about playing his next three on the road.
