COACH: Joey Jones — At South Alabama: 23-4, 3 years;

OVERALL: 26-11, 4 years

OFFENSIVE COORDINATOR: Robert Matthews

DEFENSIVE COORDINATOR: Bill Clark

LAST LEAGUE TITLE: None

LAST BOWL: None

RETURNING STARTERS: 12; 4 offense, 7 defense, punter

PLAYERS TO WATCH: QB C.J. Bennett, RB Brandon Ross, WR T.J. Glover, TE Greg Hollinger, DE Pat Moore, LB Jake Johnson, LB Enrique Williams, CB Darrius Morrow

PRIMARY STRENGTHS: There is talent and depth at running back and linebacker. In general, the Jags are in good shape at the skill positions. The new offense should make them effective and create problems for opposing defenses.

POTENTIAL PROBLEMS: The offensive line, especially in a new scheme, must develop depth and handle its business. Likewise, the secondary, an area of emphasis the past two seasons, must also develop depth and make plays as the program adjusts to a new league.
