The Boston Red Sox added newly acquired right-handed pitcher Andrew Cashner to the major league roster and put pitcher Steven Wright on the 10-day injured list on Sunday.

Cashner, 32, was traded to the Red Sox by the Baltimore Orioles along with cash considerations on Saturday. In exchange, the Orioles received minor league infielder Noelberth Romero and minor league outfielder Elio Prado.

In 18 appearances (17 starts) for the Orioles this season, Cashner was 9-3 with a 3.83 ERA.

Wright, 34, left Saturday night’s game against the Los Angeles Dodgers in the seventh inning with a contusion on his right big toe. He was hit by a liner off the bat of the Dodgers’ Max Muncy.

In six appearances this season, all in relief, he has an 8.53 ERA.
