Despite being listed as doubtful for Sunday’s game against the Atlanta Falcons, Baltimore Ravens coach John Harbaugh left open the possibility that quarterback Joe Flacco could be available to play.
Flacco did not practice Wednesday but was listed as limited Thursday and Friday.
Harbaugh noted that Flacco had made “quite a bit of progress” this week and was better Friday than the day before. If Flacco doesn’t play, rookie Lamar Jackson would make his third consecutive start.
Wrapping up his assessment, Harbaugh said, “I’d say yes, he’s an option. There’s still doctors involved at this point.”
In other quarterback news, it appears Chase Daniel will start his second consecutive game for the Chicago Bears with Mitchell Trubisky listed as doubtful. Trubisky did practice on a limited basis all three days this week.
New York Jets quarterback Sam Darnold is questionable, although it appears Josh McCown will start again. McCown was limited on Wednesday and Thursday with back and hand injuries but had full participation on Friday and was not listed as part of the status report. Darnold was limited all three days.
On an injury note not on the report, the Los Angeles Rams activated cornerback Aqib Talib from reserve/injured, designated for return. He has been on IR since Sept. 26 and returned to practice Monday.
Also notable is that Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver A.J. Green is not listed and he will play Sunday against the Denver Broncos.
