The Los Angeles Dodgers announced right-hander Dustin May will get the start Thursday night in what could be a close-out game against the San Diego Padres in the National League Division Series.

The Dodgers hold a 2-0 lead in the best-of-five series. The Padres are going with left-hander Adrian Morejon.

May went 1-1 against the Padres during the regular season with a 2.60 ERA in three games (two starts). May came on in relief against the Padres in Game 1 on Tuesday, throwing 27 pitches in a perfect two innings of work. He struck out three of the six batters he faced.

The outing could limit how far the 23-year-old goes Thursday night.

May went 3-1 with a 2.57 ERA in 12 games (10 starts) during the regular season.

Morejon likely will be the opener of a bullpen game for the Padres; he hasn’t thrown more than three innings in any of his 11 appearances this season. Morejon last pitched on Oct. 2 against the St. Louis Cardinals in the opening round of the playoffs. He allowed a hit and struck out two in 1 2/3 scoreless innings.

Morejon went 2-2 in 14 games (six starts) with a 4.66 ERA in the regular season.
