MIAMI — Bryce Harper hit a grand slam as part of a seven-run seventh inning as the Washington Nationals defeated the Miami Marlins 7-0 on Tuesday night at Marlins Park.

The Nationals (10-3), who lead the NL East, hit four home runs in their huge inning. That’s the first time Washington has hit four homers in an inning since the Nationals came into existence in 2005. It’s also the first time the Marlins have allowed four homers in an inning.

Adam Conley, a rookie left-hander for the Marlins (4-8), was working on a shutout before Jayson Werth pulled a 3-2 fastball for a solo homer to left-center.

Catcher Wilson Ramos homered to left-center on the next pitch. Harper’s grand slam, on an 86-mph breaking pitch from reliever Chris Narveson, gave Washington a 6-0 lead.

It was Harper’s seventh homer of the season and his fifth in the past six games. It was also his second grand slam in five days.

Indians 3, Mariners 2

CLEVELAND — Francisco Lindor had three hits and an RBI and Carlos Carrasco pitched into the seventh inning as Cleveland beat Seattle at Progressive Field.

Lindor had two singles and a double, and he drew a bases loaded walk in the Indians’ two-run fourth inning.

Carrasco (2-0) threw 103 pitches and was removed from the game with one out in the seventh inning. Cody Allen pitched the ninth inning to pick up his fourth save.

Blue Jays 4, Orioles 3

BALTIMORE — Marcus Stroman contained Baltimore’s powerful lineup, and Toronto took the series opener against its American League East rival.

Toronto also handed the Orioles their first loss in six games at Camden Yards this season. The defending division champion Blue Jays won their third consecutive game, while Baltimore lost for the fourth time in five.

Stroman (3-0) allowed three runs on six hits with three strikeouts and a walk over seven innings. He won for the 11th time in his past 12 decisions, dating back to 2014.

Reds 4, Rockies 3

CINCINNATI — Brandon Phillips fell a homer shy of the cycle and Robert Stephenson posted his second career victory as Cincinnati defeated Colorado at Great American Ball Park.

Phillips singled, doubled and tripled in his first three at-bats before he singled again in the ninth to finish 4-for-4.

Stephenson (2-0) was recalled from Triple-A hours before the game when scheduled starter Alfredo Simon was scratched because of biceps tendinitis.

Braves 8, Dodgers 1

ATLANTA — Tyler Flowers matched his career high with four hits and drove in two runs to help Atlanta beat Los Angeles and extend its winning streak to four games.

Flowers, who signed a two-year free-agent deal in the offseason, was 4-for-4 and improved his batting average to .412. He also scored a run.

Atlanta had 10 hits, including two hits and two RBIs from Jeff Francoeur, and posted a season-high for runs.

Mets 11, Phillies 1

PHILADELPHIA — Neil Walker hit two of his team’s six home runs as New York battered Philadelphia.

Walker, acquired from Pittsburgh in an offseason trade, hit a pair of solo shots for the Mets, who won for the fifth time in six games to improve to 7-6.

It was the fourth multi-homer game of Walker’s career, and his first since July 1, 2015, when he hit two at Detroit. He also homered in Monday’s victory over the Phillies, and now has six this season. His career high of 23 came in 2014.

Yoenis Cespedes hit a three-run homer and Michael Conforto, Lucas Duda and Curtis Granderson added two-run shots for New York.
